finishing things

i cant believe i forgot to tell you that we finished the shower. jason and i both had a chance to use it (i got to first though. :) and then we noticed a CRACK IN THE BRAND NEW GROUT! so it set for a day to dry, then i chiseled and filled in the grout line with caulking. that way the bench has room to give and shift a bit, without causing anymore cracks, because i left that one intact. its just caulked over. sigh. so today it is usable again.

about my doctor appointment on wednesday, it was nearly canceled. as i pulled onto the connector in boise i got a phone call from mattie saying dr anstine has just left for a delivery. i was offered a new time on thursday, but was a pain and asked to be squeezed in, so jason and i went in an hour later at 1250 instead of 1150. she had just got back and it all worked out perfectly. i asked her to strip my membranes (which was WAY less painful this time, but i am also dilated a bit more this time around) and then checked to see who is on call this weekend. its dr carlson. so at least if i have to miss heidis wedding to have this baby i will get the consolation prize of a friendly doctor. i see anstine again on wednesday june 2nd.

i feel like i should be semi frantically getting things ready for george to get here, but i really dont have anything to do. i guess i have the crib in the garage that needs painted, but i kind of want to spray paint instead of brush paint it. we have more of our trip color left still that i used to paint my dresser for emma, that matches her crib and changing table that we bought, and i was going to just use that. but this crib isnt all smooth, it has bumps and designs on the bars and i think a spray can would be a million times easier to get in all those grooves. so im not working on it.

now we just wait. i am 38 weeks 4 days pregnant, george is enormous, and its time for him to be born.
