late update

i am pretty sure i didnt mention that at my last ob appointment on jasons birthday (may 6) i was 35 weeks 3 days into this pregnancy and got the good news that i am already 2 centimeters dilated. i was not checked this early with emma (not until 38 weeks, when i was a 3) so i am hoping this is quick progress, and that our plump baby will make an early arrival.

i am no longer taking it easy, except that there are some bending chores that i just cant do any more. over the weekend we made the 10 hour drive to california for katies ordination, and drove home on mothers day. while there, katie and i walked to starbucks, then i spent the three hours of ordination wresting a crying emma into my arms and by the end of the night couldnt pick her up without hurting. (my round ligaments, not my arms.) then saturday evening we took another family walk to the park and back.

i will be 37 weeks and full term on the 17th, but my next appointment is on thursday the 13th with the newest doctor in the practice. (anstine is on vacation, but at least she will be back when i hit 37 weeks!) so after thursday i will have more news, then the 17th hits and all bets are off. this guy should be about 8 pounds by then (im totally guessing, but i also think if i carry him to 40 weeks, he will be high 8's and pushing 9 pounds. just my guess) and very ready to come out and see the sunshine. so there had better be some sunshine.
